Bill Barr, Managing Partner of BlackRidge Resource Partners LLC, was a guest of Kentucky Education Television’s Kentucky Tonight as part of panel discussing energy policy in Kentucky on Monday night. “This was a great venue to discuss the future of energy production in Kentucky, and to highlight the need for natural gas in our region.” Approximately 98 percent of Kentucky’s electricity came from coal in 2010, a number that has since been reduced to approximately 83 percent due to the increased use of natural gas as a fuel source.

Other guests on the panel included Sarah Lynn Cunningham, an environmental engineer and board president of the Kentucky Conservation Committee; Tom FitzGerald, director of the Kentucky Resources Council; and Tyler White, president of the Kentucky Coal Association. Barr attended the event as chairman of the Kentucky Oil and Gas Association’s Governmental Affairs Committee.
